We encourage all participants to attend the Welcome Dinner as it will be a great opportunity to bond, relax, and get to know each other before the conference starts. The Welcome Dinner will be on Sunday, March 10th from 5-8 pm at Lake Claire. Food and beverages will be provided.
KSCVC features exhibits, displays, historic spacecraft and memorabilia, shows, two IMAX theaters, and a range of bus tours of the spaceport. NASA’s launch headquarters is the only place on Earth where you can tour launch-pad areas, meet a veteran astronaut, and train in spaceflight simulators.
Cocoa Beach is famous for great nature preserves, the world’s largest surf shop, and the historic Cocoa Village of Cocoa Beach, a revitalized, nostalgic riverside community with more than 50 shops, restaurants, galleries and artist studios. You can take a walk along the beach, go surfing, or play volleyball with others.
Both of these locations are just an hour’s drive east of the conference location. IONS® Orlando will organize a carpool to and from both locations. If you are interested in visiting Kennedy Space Center, be sure to reserve your spot during registration.
In case you are looking for information about what to do on your own, you can visit Orlando’s tourism webite. There you will find ideas for places and exhibits to visit, as well information about transportation.
